Welcome to Hoylake School of Dance!
Our large independent school specialises in all aspects of classical and modern theatre training. Whilst offering the traditional core theatre subjects we are first to introduce the more up to date non traditional styles as well. Many of our former students have gone onto Professional Musical Theatre courses after leaving school and continue to work professionally in the industry.
Our school currently offers classes in traditional forms of dance Classical Ballet (RAD), Modern & Tap (IDTA). Other styles such as Contemporary, Freestyle, Commercial Irish Dance, Hip Hop & Street Dance are also offered. We have a good range of ladies evening classes on offer also.
We also boast a thriving Drama (LAMDA) and Singing section. We welcome children from aged 3 upwards to come along and experience a class at our friendly and professional school.

Annie Winstanley won a Commendation in her class at the Royal Academy of Dance - Northwest Scholarship Day.
Ben Carney was awarded a place the Royal Ballet School Summer School 2013 in London, selected from 1500 applicants. Yasmeen Alam made the reserve list.

Charlotte Moore has been nominated for the WJ Tasker Pre-Associate of the Year Award for her recent teaching exam mark of 92%.
Zara Phillips, Alice & Julia Carlile have all been filming for Channel 4's new TV show "The Mill".
Zara Phillips has successfully auditioned for a place as an Associate of the Hammond School in Chester.

Rebecca Lamb accpeted at the Italia Conte Theatre School for college training from Sept 2013.
Nathan Pearce recalled for a final audition for Elmhurst School for Dance in Birmingham for full time training.
Hannah & Eleanor Boyle former Royal Ballet School Assocaites have been accepted at The Graduate College of Dance, Australia. There were auditioned by the Principal Mrs Dawn Weller and were offered places to study.
That's Showbiz Grand Final at the Blackpool Opera House, Under 10 Classical 1st, Under 14 Classical 3rd, Under 14 Modern 3rd, Mixed Age Modern 2nd, Overall Mixed Age Routine 3rd, Best Small Group.

All girls and boys passed the RAD Vocational Examinations, Charlotte Moore & Bethany Mortimer (Merit) passed Advanced Foundation RAD with many children passing Intermediate Foundation and Intermediate. Distincions were achieved in Intermediate Foundation by Nathan Pearce (89) and Georgia Amery (75).

Kate Newman selected to perform with the National Youth Ballet in their next production.
That's Showbiz Cheshire Heat our teams won the following awards: Under 10 years 2nd overall, Under 14 years 3rd overall, Mixed Age 2nd overall, Under 10 Modern highest mark, Under 14 years Modern highest mark, Mixed Age Modern highest mark, Best Small Group.

Nathan Pearce nominated to compete for the Ken Dodd Tap Award at the IDTA Scholarships in February.
Charlotte Moore, Jessica O'Loughlin, Rebecca Lamb, Louise Jones & Stephanie Brennan all passed their teaching exams with the IDTA.

17 children selected from an open audition to appear alongside Sonia, in Cinderella this Christmas at the newly refurbished Epstein Theatre, in Liverpool City Centre. (Formerly Nepture Theatre).
Several of our pupils appeared in David Copperfield at the Floral Pavilion Theatre including Sam Rees-Baylis playing adolescent David Copperfield.

THE DANCE CAFE
Don't forget the café is open for drinks, snacks and meals from 4.00-8.00pm every day and all day on a Saturday!
School hoodies and T-shirts, tights, socks, bags and small items are in stock in the café and you can pick up an order form for other items of dancewear!
